Submission of abstracts and full papers
Writers should submit no more than two paper abstracts of not more than one page by the 22nd February 2018. The abstracts must be in English or French, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling, addressing one or two of the conference themes. Papers should not have been submitted to any other conference or published in any other journal before. Originality and contribution to the body of knowledge should be the driving factor. Writers are advised to conduct a self-plagiarism test before submission. Papers that contain any kind of plagiarism will be rejected.
The structure of the abstract for uniformity in presentation will include: Aim/purpose, objectives, methodology, findings, implications/limitations and key words.
All abstracts should not be more than one page in length or 250 words.
All papers must be submitted through the online submission platform. After the paper submission has been successfully completed, writers will receive a confirmation e-mail.
Guidelines for the submission of full-length papers
∑ Submissions should include a title page that clearly indicates: Title(s), name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s); Complete postal address(es); Telephone numbers and email address(es);
∑ The next page should only include: Title of paper; Abstract (250 words, single line spacing and font size 12 points); keywords (terms) that describe the paper best.
∑ The following sections should be in the paper: Introduction; Problem investigated; Research objectives and/or hypotheses; Literature review; Research methodology; Results/Findings; Implications; Conclusions.
Writers will not be allowed to present more than two papers.
1. Competitive papers are restricted to 15 pages content.
2. MS Word documents only.
3. Font: Times New Roman; Font size: 12; Spacing: 1.5 line spacing.
4. Margins: 2.5 cm left margin and 2 cm top, bottom and right margins.
5. Referencing technique: APA 6th edition style only.
Very important: All manuscripts should be proofread and edited before submission. Please make sure that your paperís technical and language standard are good.†
Deadline for submission of abstract: 1st March, 2018.
Full paper for review submission: 15th April, 2018.
Full paper submission deadline: 22nd March, 2018.
Final full paper submission: 6th May, 2018.
Conference registration and payment of fees for individuals not writing papers: 1st May, 2018
Deadlines will be strictly followed and late papers will be rejected.
Conference attendance fees
Non-Students: USD $250
Students: USD $150
Attendance fees include a conference journal, presentations and packages deemed necessary like a tour of selected places around Kampala city.
Eligibility of attendance
∑ Submission of an acceptable paper and payment of attendance fees OR
∑ Non submission of a paper BUT payment of attendance fees.
Please Note: For those presenting papers, participation fees must be paid before submission of full paper(s).
Accommodation & travel: Participants are responsible for their own accommodation and Travel (air tickets) into the country.
The accommodation ranges from $ 100 to $ 300 including breakfast.
Lunch, break and evening tea will be served at the venue.
Extended Publication Opportunities:
All accepted and registered papers for ICCSL 2018 conference will be invited to submit a publishable article in the edition of Journal of African Curriculum Organization
